It utilizes coconut shell Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter media to reduce unpleasant taste and odor. This filter has a service life of 2,000 gallons (or one year) and a flow rate of 0.5 gallons per minute. It has a 2" outside diameter and an overall length of 10".
