The HUNTER INDUSTRIES node100 is a battery-powered, single-station irrigation timer designed for sites where a hardwired electrical connection is not available or practical. The unit mounts directly to a valve solenoid without screws, drills, or additional wiring, making it a fast install in tight or remote locations. It runs on one or two 9-volt batteries and delivers reliable valve control throughout the irrigation season. The waterproof, solid-construction housing is built to withstand the conditions inside a standard valve box. Programming is handled through an easy-to-read LCD screen using standard Hunter controller logic with 3 programs and 4 start times per program.
The node100 is suited for residential and light commercial irrigation applications where power access is limited, including isolated landscape zones, drip irrigation systems, and power-restricted areas. It is a compact controller solution for any single-valve installation requiring independent, schedule-based operation without running low-voltage wire back to a central controller. A DC Latching Solenoid (part 4582) is required for use with additional valves beyond the first station.
Designed for use with Hunter-compatible DC latching solenoid valves. A DC Latching Solenoid (part 4582) is required for installations involving more than one valve. Compatible with standard Hunter controller programming conventions.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed irrigation technician or qualified plumbing contractor. Before servicing any valve or solenoid, shut off the irrigation water supply at the main or zone isolation valve. No hardwired electrical connection is required, but ensure the solenoid is compatible with DC latching operation before mounting the unit. Follow local plumbing and irrigation codes as applicable during valve box service.
