The HUNTER INDUSTRIES I2506SS is a 6-inch pop-up rotor sprinkler head featuring a stainless steel riser, designed for use in commercial and residential irrigation systems. The stainless steel riser construction provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard plastic risers, making it well suited for high-traffic turf areas, sports fields, and irrigated landscapes where durability under repeated foot traffic is a priority. The 1-inch inlet connection accommodates higher-flow lateral lines, and the pop-up design retracts flush with the grade when not in operation, reducing mowing and maintenance interference. Licensed irrigation contractors and landscape professionals are the primary installers of this rotor.
The I2506SS is intended for use in large-turf irrigation zones where extended throw radius and reliable pop-up retraction are required. The stainless steel riser is particularly appropriate in commercial park installations, golf course rough areas, athletic fields, and municipal landscape projects where rotor heads are subject to equipment and foot traffic. The 6-inch pop-up height provides sufficient clearance for mature turf coverage without sacrificing retraction performance. The 1-inch inlet integrates with standard schedule 40 or class 200 PVC lateral piping commonly used in commercial irrigation design.
Designed as an OEM-style rotor for use in commercial and residential irrigation systems requiring a 6-inch pop-up rotor with a stainless steel riser and 1-inch inlet connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed irrigation contractor in accordance with local plumbing and irrigation codes. Shut off the irrigation system and depressurize the lateral line before removing or installing any rotor head. Use Teflon tape on all threaded connections and avoid over-tightening the inlet fitting to prevent cracking the riser body. Verify head spacing and arc settings match the zone design prior to system startup.
