The HUNT ELECTRONICS hnc328g2-xdrb28 is an 8-megapixel outdoor EXIR turret security camera designed for professional surveillance installations. Built around a 1/2.8-inch progressive scan CMOS sensor, it delivers 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels with a maximum frame rate of 20 fps at full resolution. True Wide Dynamic Range at 120 dB handles high-contrast scenes without washing out detail. The built-in EXIR illuminator reaches up to 100 feet, enabling clear low-light and zero-lux black-and-white capture. Licensed security integrators and commercial electricians are the primary installers of this unit.
This camera is suited for exterior commercial and residential surveillance applications requiring all-weather performance. The IP67-rated black housing resists dust and water immersion, making it appropriate for building perimeters, parking structures, loading docks, and similar exposed environments. It connects to a network via a single RJ45 interface and supports Power over Ethernet (802.3af), eliminating the need for a separate power run. The 2.8-millimeter fixed focal length provides a wide field of view typical of entry-point and open-area coverage. Operating temperature spans -22 degrees F to 140 degrees F, supporting year-round outdoor deployment in most climates.
Compatible electrical box accessory: HTH-285ZJ-MB. Compatible wall mount accessory: HTH-273ZJ-130-TRLRB. Supports ONVIF, PSIA, and CGI protocols for use with compatible network video recorders and VMS platforms.
Installation should be performed by a licensed security or low-voltage technician following applicable local codes and NEC requirements for low-voltage wiring. Power down the PoE switch port or disconnect the 12 VDC supply before making any wiring connections to the camera. Verify that the PoE switch or injector is rated 802.3af and that cable runs do not exceed standard Ethernet distance limits. Do not defeat the IP67 gasket seal during mounting, as this will compromise weather resistance.
