The HUNT ELECTRONICS hnc324g2-xd is a 4-megapixel outdoor EXIR turret camera designed for professional security installations. Built around a 1/3-inch progressive scan CMOS sensor, it captures full 2688 x 1520 resolution video at up to 30 frames per second. True Wide Dynamic Range at 120dB handles high-contrast scenes without washed-out highlights or crushed shadows. The integrated EXIR illuminator reaches up to 100 feet in zero-light conditions, making it effective for perimeter and entry-point coverage. H.265 and H.264 compression with triple-stream output keeps bandwidth and storage demands manageable. Security integrators and low-voltage technicians are the primary installers.
This camera is rated for exterior deployment with an IP67 ingress protection rating, suitable for mounting on building exteriors, soffits, and covered outdoor structures in residential and light commercial applications. It accepts Power over Ethernet via 802.3af, eliminating the need for a separate power run to each camera location. The wide-angle 2.8 mm lens option delivers a 103-degree horizontal field of view, while the 4 mm option narrows to 84 degrees for longer corridor or driveway coverage. Pan adjustment spans 0 to 360 degrees and tilt spans 0 to 75 degrees, allowing precise aiming after mounting. Compatible mounting accessories are listed in the Technical Specifications section below.
Compatible mounting accessories include electrical boxes HTH-285ZJ-M(B) and HTH-280ZJ-M, wall mounts HTH-273ZJ-130B-TRL and HTH-273ZJ-130-TRL, corner mount HTH-276ZJ, pole mount HTH-275ZJ, and ceiling mount HTH-271ZJ-130-TRL. The camera supports ONVIF, PSIA, and CGI system compatibility standards for integration with compatible NVR platforms and VMS software.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or security systems integrator. Before servicing or repositioning the camera, disconnect PoE power at the switch port. Seal all conduit and cable penetrations at the mounting surface to maintain the IP67 rating and prevent moisture intrusion into the structure. Follow local low-voltage wiring codes and NEC guidelines for structured cabling and PoE circuit protection.
