The HUBBELL WIRING DEVICE-KELLEMS HBL420HI is a hospital-grade, straight-blade fourplex receptacle rated at 20 amps and 125 volts AC under NEMA 5-20R configuration. Built from impact-resistant polycarbonate, this single-phase, two-pole, three-wire device provides four outlets in a single flush-mount footprint. The self-grounding design eliminates the need for a separate grounding clip during installation. Its hospital-grade listing meets the elevated safety and durability requirements demanded in clinical and healthcare environments. Licensed electricians install this receptacle in applications where outlet density and compliance are equally critical.
This receptacle is designed for flush-mount installation in commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities where NEMA 5-20R outlets are required at higher density. The fourplex format allows four 20-amp receptacles to be served from a single wiring point, reducing conduit runs and box fill in patient care areas, exam rooms, and medical equipment stations. Both back-wiring and side-wiring methods are supported, giving installers flexibility to match existing rough-in conditions. The ivory finish suits standard commercial wall plate aesthetics.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation hospital-grade fourplex receptacle for NEMA 5-20R flush-mount applications in single-phase, 125-volt AC branch circuits.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local amendments. Always de-energize the branch circuit at the panelboard and verify absence of voltage with a calibrated meter before wiring. Hospital-grade receptacles installed in patient care areas are subject to additional inspection requirements under NEC Article 517 — confirm authority having jurisdiction requirements before rough-in. Do not exceed the 20-amp branch circuit rating of the device.
