The HUBBELL PREMISE WIRING P226 is a 3-gang wallplate designed to accommodate two toggle-style switches and one decorator-style device in a single, unified cover. Wallplates of this configuration are standard finish hardware in commercial and residential electrical installations where mixed device types share a single gang box. The P226 provides a clean, professional appearance at switch and outlet locations while protecting the wall opening and securing device trim. Electricians and low-voltage installers select this plate as finish hardware at the end of rough-in work.
The P226 is suited for use in new construction and retrofit applications wherever a 3-gang box hosts a combination of two toggle switches alongside a single decorator device such as a GFCI outlet, rocker switch, or keypad insert. Typical install scenarios include commercial corridor lighting controls, residential multi-switch locations, and light commercial office buildouts. Sold individually as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style fit for standard 3-gang electrical boxes accommodating two toggle-style switches and one decorator-style device opening.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician as finish work after device rough-in is complete. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel before handling any wiring or seated devices behind the plate. Align the plate squarely over the gang box and fasten with the appropriate wallplate screws, taking care not to overtighten and crack the plate. Work should comply with applicable NEC requirements for device finish hardware.
