The HUBBELL PREMISE WIRING HGBL10DB is a double-barrel compression lug rated for 1/0 AWG conductors with a 3/8-inch stud opening and a single-hole mounting configuration. It is designed for use in electrical termination applications where a secure, low-resistance connection between a conductor and a busbar, panel lug, or grounding point is required. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this lug during panel work, switchgear assembly, grounding system installation, and similar high-current termination tasks. The double-barrel design accommodates two conductors simultaneously, reducing the need for additional splices or junction points at the termination.
This lug is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations wherever 1/0 AWG conductors must be terminated at a 3/8-inch stud. Typical applications include main panel terminations, grounding electrode conductor connections, equipment bonding, and sub-panel feeders. Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before beginning any termination work. Use the correct compression tooling specified for the lug size to ensure a proper crimp; an improper crimp can result in a high-resistance connection or conductor pullout. Verify conductor insulation is stripped to the correct length and that the stud torque value meets the equipment manufacturer's specification listed on the equipment nameplate.
