The HUBBELL PREMISE WIRING HFCD14024RSBK is a single-mode, 24-fiber indoor/outdoor fiber optic cable finished in black. It is designed for structured cabling installations where runs transition between interior spaces and exterior pathways without requiring a separate transition point. The riser-rated jacket construction supports vertical runs inside buildings while the outdoor-rated design protects against moisture and temperature variation. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this cable in enterprise, campus, and commercial building applications where long-distance, high-bandwidth backbone runs are required.
This cable suits backbone and inter-building fiber runs in commercial and campus environments. Its indoor/outdoor dual rating eliminates the need for a splice or transition enclosure where the cable passes from outside to inside, reducing labor and hardware costs. The 24-fiber count supports high-density backbone segments serving data centers, telecom rooms, and distributed antenna systems. It is sold as a single unit (EA) and is appropriate for new construction as well as renovation projects requiring a single continuous run across mixed environments.
Designed as an OEM-style structured cabling component compatible with standard single-mode fiber termination hardware and patch panels in commercial and campus backbone installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 and applicable local codes. Observe the cable minimum bend radius and maximum pulling tension during installation to avoid fiber damage. All indoor portions of the run must comply with NEC riser (CMR) routing requirements. Terminate only with tooling and connectors rated for the fiber type and count.
