The HUBBELL PREMISE WIRING FHPSCC3MM is a single-ended fiber optic pigtail terminated with an SC connector, rated for OM1 multimode optical fiber. At 3 meters in length, this pigtail is designed to be fusion-spliced or mechanically joined to a fiber cable run at one end, with the factory-terminated SC connector ready to plug into active equipment or a patch panel at the other end. Electricians and low-voltage data cabling technicians use pigtails like this to transition field-pulled fiber into a clean, polished connector interface inside a telecommunications enclosure or equipment rack.
The FHPSCC3MM is suited for indoor structured cabling installations in commercial and light industrial environments. Typical applications include terminating backbone or horizontal fiber runs inside wall-mount enclosures, rack-mounted splice trays, and fiber distribution units. OM1 multimode fiber supports legacy and current 1 Gbps Ethernet applications over relatively short distances, making this pigtail appropriate for intrabuilding backbone segments, closet-to-closet links, and equipment room cross-connects where OM1 plant infrastructure is already in place.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pigtail for OM1 multimode fiber optic structured cabling systems using SC-type connector interfaces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician familiar with fiber optic termination and splicing practices. Power down or disable active optical transceivers on the associated link before handling fiber ends or making connections. Fiber cutting, cleaving, and splicing work should follow TIA-568 structured cabling standards, and all fiber debris must be properly contained and disposed of to prevent injury. Never look directly into a fiber end or active port without appropriate optical safety equipment.
