The HUBBELL 07401015 is a straight male cord grip connector designed for strain relief and cable management in hazardous location applications. The connector body is aluminum with a 3/4 inch NPT thread, and the double weave mesh is stainless steel for corrosion resistance. It accepts cord diameters from 0.375 to 0.5 inches and carries UL and CSA approvals. The endless weave mesh design locks onto the cable to prevent pull-out, distributes grip force along the arc of bend, and minimizes mechanical stress on the cable jacket. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting where flexible conduit or cord enters an enclosure through a threaded hub or knockout.
This cord grip is rated for hazardous location use and suited for industrial, commercial, and outdoor installations where corrosion resistance and secure cable retention are required. The stainless steel mesh resists corrosive environments, and the aluminum body keeps weight low. The fitting can be installed inside or outside an enclosure. The NPT-threaded body attaches directly to a threaded hub or knockout in a box. A liquidtight version is available separately for installations where liquids must be prevented from entering the enclosure through the fitting.
Designed for use with cord or flexible conduit in the 0.375 to 0.5 inch diameter range. The 3/4 inch NPT thread is compatible with standard threaded hubs and knockouts in electrical enclosures. A liquidtight version is available for use with both cable and conduit fittings where liquid ingress protection is needed.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes for hazardous location wiring. De-energize all circuits before installing or servicing the fitting. Thread the NPT body securely into the enclosure hub or knockout before seating the cable through the mesh grip. Do not overtighten or deform the mesh, as this can compromise grip performance and cable integrity.
