The HOUGEN 14262 is a high speed steel (HSS) hole saw designed for clean, precise hole cutting in metalworking applications. Built from M2-grade high speed steel with a toothed cutting edge and constant pitch pattern, it delivers consistent performance in production and service environments. The saw measures 2 inches in diameter with a cutting depth of 1/8 inch, making it well suited for sheet metal, plate, and thin-wall work. The 3/8 inch hex shank provides positive engagement in compatible chucks and reduces slippage under load. This tool is installed and used by machinists, pipefitters, electricians, and metal fabricators working with ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
The HOUGEN 14262 is appropriate for use in both residential and commercial trade settings where precise hole sizing in metal is required. It is compatible with drill presses and power drills equipped with a 3/8 inch hex or appropriate adapter chuck. Typical applications include cutting clean holes in aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and general steel stock for conduit entry, pipe penetration, panel knockout, and structural fabrication work. Its shallow 1/8 inch cutting depth targets thin material passes rather than deep-bore applications.
Designed for use with drill presses and power drills. The 3/8 inch hex shank fits standard hex-drive chucks and compatible adapters.
This hole saw is installed and operated by qualified tradespeople including electricians, pipefitters, and metal fabricators. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and use appropriate cutting fluid when working with stainless steel or harder mild steel to extend tool life and improve cut quality. Ensure the drill or drill press is powered off and fully stopped before changing or inspecting the saw. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating cutting tools on metal.
