This reduces heat buildup, extends tool life, and requires less machine power compared to twist drilling. The M2 high speed steel construction handles demanding applications, and the titanium nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness for extended cutting life. The Weldon flat shank with two flats provides positive drive engagement and resists slipping under torque.
