The HORN 613030000TI25 is a solid carbide coated milling insert designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to the Series 613 specification, this single-sided, right-hand insert features a positive rake geometry that reduces cutting forces and promotes clean chip evacuation. With a 0.224-inch thickness and a 0.0080-inch corner radius, it delivers precise edge definition suited to fine-tolerance milling work. Screw-held mounting ensures rigid seating in compatible toolholders. This insert is typically installed and replaced by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians working with milling centers and machining cells.
The 613030000TI25 is engineered for use across a broad range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The TI25 manufacturer grade coating provides wear resistance suited to these material groups. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.1771 inches (4.50 mm), this insert is well matched to finishing and semi-finishing passes in both production and job-shop environments. Its positive rake design makes it particularly effective when cutting difficult-to-machine alloys where heat and tool pressure must be minimized.
Designed for use in Series 613 HORN toolholders that accept the 0300 insert size code. Suitable for right-hand milling applications across steel (P), cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), non-ferrous metal (N), hard material (H), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece material groups.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edge prior to use.
