The HONEYWELL zd8x26tzu is a rectangular, parallel-blade zone control damper designed for circulating air management in residential HVAC zoning systems. Built with an extruded aluminum frame and blades, it operates on a power-closed, spring-open actuation cycle. The damper accepts 24-volt AC, 60 Hz power, produces 71 inch-ounce of motor torque, and cycles through a 30-second power-open and 10-second spring-return sequence. Leakage is rated at less than 1 percent at 0.5 inch WC, and maximum static pressure rating is 1 inch WC. A mechanical visual position indicator is included for quick field verification of blade status.
This damper is sized for an 8-inch by 26-inch duct opening and is used in residential applications where zone-by-zone airflow control is required. It integrates with TrueZone electronic zoning panels and other compatible electronic zoning systems. The bottom-mount motor configuration suits standard rectangular duct installations, and LED indication is included to assist during commissioning and troubleshooting. Typical applications include split-system and air-handler-based forced-air systems serving multiple zones.
Designed for use with TrueZone and other electronic zoning systems in residential forced-air HVAC applications. Fits an 8-inch by 26-inch duct opening.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power down the air handler and zone control panel before wiring or mounting the damper. Connect motor terminals per the zone panel wiring diagram: M1 for power, M6 for common, and M4 as optional. Verify damper blade rotation and position indicator function before restoring system power.
