The HONEYWELL NP1WHT12 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant supplied in a 10.1-ounce cartridge. Formerly sold as Sonolastic NP 1, this formulation delivers permanent elasticity and high performance across a wide range of joint applications. It handles both active and static joints on vertical and horizontal surfaces, interior and exterior. The sealant bonds to concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood without requiring a primer, and it does not require mixing before application. It skins overnight, reaches functional cure in approximately three days, and achieves full cure in five to seven days. Joint movement capability is rated at plus or minus 35 percent. Longevity is rated up to 15 years under normal service conditions.
This sealant is designed for use on expansion wall joints, floor and pavement joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast concrete walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and storm water drains. It is suited for both residential and commercial construction applications and is regularly installed by contractors working with concrete, masonry, and glazing systems. USDA approval covers use in meat and poultry processing areas, and Canadian approval covers food-handling establishments, making it appropriate for regulated facility work. The white color blends with light-colored substrates and is paintable after cure.
Designed for use on concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood substrates across active vertical and horizontal interior and exterior joints including expansion joints, pavement joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and storm water drains.
Installation is typically performed by licensed contractors, glaziers, or construction trades familiar with joint sealant applications. Before applying, ensure the joint surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and loose material. Verify joint dimensions are within the product's movement capability range before proceeding. Apply in accordance with ASTM C-920 guidelines and any applicable local building codes.
