The HONEYWELL NP1STN12 is a moisture-curing, single-component polyurethane sealant in a 10.1 oz tube, supplied in a stone color finish. Formerly marketed as Sonolastic NP 1, this formulation delivers permanent elasticity and high-performance adhesion across a wide range of construction and mechanical substrates. It requires no mixing, bonds to concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood without a primer, and achieves full cure in 5 to 7 days under ideal conditions. Joint movement capability is plus or minus 35 percent, and the product carries a rated service longevity of up to 15 years. Plumbers, general contractors, and building envelope technicians use it on both interior and exterior applications where durable, flexible sealing is required.
NP1STN12 is suited for active, vertical, and horizontal joints in residential and commercial construction. Typical applications include expansion wall joints, floor and pavement joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and stormwater drains. The formulation is approved by the USDA for use in meat and poultry processing areas and carries Canadian approval for use in food-handling establishments, making it appropriate for commercial kitchen and food-service facility installations as well. It dries smooth, is paintable, and does not generally harbor mold or mildew growth, though it does not contain a fungicide.
Designed for use on concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood substrates; suitable for interior and exterior expansion joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and stormwater drain applications.
Application should be performed by qualified contractors or tradespeople familiar with sealant joint preparation standards. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and loose material before application. Follow applicable building codes and manufacturer cure-time guidance before subjecting the joint to movement or traffic loads. Do not apply to surfaces that are wet or below the minimum recommended application temperature.
