The HONEYWELL NP1BLK12 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant sold under the MasterSeal NP1 product line, formerly marketed as Sonolastic NP 1. It delivers permanent elasticity and bonds to concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood without requiring a primer or field mixing. The sealant skins overnight, reaches functional cure in approximately 3 days, and achieves full cure in 5 to 7 days under ideal conditions. Packaged in a 10.1 oz tube, it is suited for both interior and exterior applications and carries a stated longevity of up to 15 years. Joint movement capability is rated at plus or minus 35 percent.
This sealant is designed for active, vertical, and horizontal joints in a wide range of construction and infrastructure settings. Typical applications include expansion wall joints, floor and pavement joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and storm water drains. It is used in both residential and commercial projects and is appropriate for work performed by plumbers, general contractors, and construction tradespeople who require a durable, paintable joint seal in demanding environments.
Designed for use on concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood substrates in active interior and exterior joints including expansion wall joints, floor and pavement joints, curtain walls, panel walls, precast walls, window frames, structural components, dams, spillways, and storm water drains.
Application should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with joint sealing procedures and applicable building codes. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of loose material before application. Avoid applying to surfaces that are wet or subject to hydrostatic pressure during cure. Review local building code requirements and manufacturer cure time guidelines before placing the joint into service.
