Designed for standard residential keyed entry doors with either a 2-3/8 inch or 2-3/4 inch backset and Kwikset keyway prep. Compatible with right-hand and left-hand door swings.
Installation is typically performed by a locksmith, general contractor, or experienced handyperson using a standard screwdriver and latch template. Power down any electronic access control integrated with the door circuit before servicing the lockset. Confirm backset measurement before selecting latch position, as an incorrect backset will prevent proper latch engagement with the strike plate. Do not force the lever or latch if resistance is felt during operation, as this may indicate a misaligned strike or improper door prep.
