The Honeywell Home Intrusion 4190SN is a V-Plex 2-zone expander module with end-of-line (EOL) resistor functionality, designed for use in hardwired security and intrusion detection systems. It extends the zone capacity of compatible control panels by adding two additional supervised zones over a single twisted-pair V-Plex polling loop. Licensed security technicians and alarm system installers typically deploy this module when a panel's native zone count needs to be expanded without running additional dedicated wiring back to the main board.
The 4190SN is suited for residential and light commercial intrusion detection installations where V-Plex loop architecture is already in place. It connects directly onto the existing polling loop and presents each zone to the panel as a standard supervised input. This makes it applicable in retrofit scenarios and new installations alike, wherever the control panel supports the V-Plex protocol and additional zone inputs are required.
Designed as an OEM-style expansion accessory for security control panels that support the V-Plex polling loop protocol. Refer to the panel manufacturer documentation to confirm compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed security or alarm system technician in accordance with applicable local and national codes. Power down the control panel and disarm the system fully before connecting or disconnecting any V-Plex loop devices. Follow the control panel manufacturer wiring guidelines for loop polarity and maximum device count per loop. Do not exceed the polling loop capacity specified by the panel manufacturer.
