The HONEYWELL GSS160 is a 16-inch variable speed scroll saw built around a 1.2-amp induction motor that delivers quiet, smooth cutting performance. The electronic variable speed control allows operators to dial in the right speed for wood, plastic, and other materials without swapping equipment. The cast aluminum table measures 14.125 inches by 10 inches and tilts up to 45 degrees left or 15 degrees right, accommodating bevel cuts across a wide range of angles. A flexible dust blower keeps the cut line visible at all times, while a built-in dust port channels debris away from the work area. Woodworkers, finish carpenters, and hobbyists in light commercial or residential shop settings are the primary users of this tool.
The GSS160 is suited for detailed curved and pattern cutting in residential or small-shop environments. The quick-change blade system accepts all standard 5-inch and 5.25-inch pin-end scroll saw blades, making mid-job blade swaps fast and tool-free. Two 5.25-inch blades rated at 18 TPI are included. This saw is appropriate for applications that demand fine detail work such as fretwork, inlay preparation, and decorative panel cutting. The induction motor design reduces vibration compared to universal motor alternatives, which is an advantage during long finishing runs.
Accepts all standard 5-inch and 5.25-inch pin-end scroll saw blades.
The GSS160 is a benchtop tool intended for setup by the operator on a stable, level work surface. Before servicing or changing blades, disconnect the saw from its power source. Use the included wrenches for blade installation and confirm the blade clamp is fully secured before resuming operation. Follow applicable local electrical codes when connecting to a standard 120-volt circuit.
