The HONEYWELL GBDS430 is a two-in-one belt and disc sanding station designed for workshops where versatility and bench space are both priorities. The unit combines a 4-inch x 36-inch sanding belt with a 6-inch disc sander in a single machine driven by a 4.5-amp induction motor. The induction motor delivers quiet, smooth operation compared to universal-motor alternatives. A cast aluminum tilting table measures 8-7/8 inches x 6-1/4 inches and serves double duty for both the belt and disc sanding surfaces. A miter gauge is included for repeatable angle work. The cast iron base includes pre-drilled mounting holes for permanent bench-top installation. Installed by woodworkers, finish carpenters, and general fabricators in shop environments.
The GBDS430 suits residential and light commercial workshop applications where operators need to sand a range of material lengths, profiles, and angles in a single setup. The sanding belt can be repositioned for horizontal or vertical use, making it practical for long stock as well as edge work. The quick-release belt change system reduces downtime when switching grit. The tilting table supports miter gauge use for angled cuts and surface finishing. The unit is intended for bench-top mounting and is not designed for freestanding floor use without a dedicated stand.
Designed as a standalone bench-top belt and disc sanding station; compatible with standard 4-inch x 36-inch sanding belts and 6-inch sanding discs available from major abrasive suppliers.
A licensed or experienced tradesperson should mount the unit to a solid workbench using fasteners appropriate for the bench material, utilizing the pre-drilled holes in the cast iron base. Disconnect the unit from power before changing belts or discs. Ensure the work area meets local electrical code requirements for the amperage draw of the motor. Eye protection and dust collection are recommended during operation.
