The HONEYWELL GB9412-5/8+GB9411-5/8 is a brass hose mender kit designed to repair damaged or cut garden hoses at the 5/8 inch diameter. The kit includes one male repair end and one female repair end, both featuring octagon-shaped fittings for a secure wrench grip during installation. The female end comes with a pre-installed rubber washer to create a leak-resistant seal. Two stainless steel hose clamps are included to lock each fitting onto the hose barb. Plumbers, irrigation technicians, and experienced DIYers install this type of fitting as a fast field repair to restore hose function without replacing the entire length.

This hose mender is suited for standard 5/8 inch garden and light irrigation hoses used in residential and light commercial outdoor watering applications. Installation Notes

Installation requires cutting the damaged hose section cleanly and squarely before inserting each brass fitting end. A flathead or nut driver is recommended for tightening the included stainless steel hose clamps securely over the barb. Turn off the water supply completely before beginning the repair. Avoid over-tightening the hose clamps to the point of cutting into the hose wall, which can cause leaks at the repair site.
