The HONEYWELL E10012 is a split core current sensor designed to measure AC current in electrical and building automation systems. Rated for up to 200 amps with a 0 to 2 volt output signal, it delivers a proportional analog signal that allows controllers, energy monitors, and building management systems to track load conditions in real time. The split core design eliminates the need to disconnect conductors during installation. This sensor ships as a 3 piece set, making it suitable for three-phase monitoring applications where all legs require measurement simultaneously.
The E10012 is used in commercial and light industrial electrical systems where non-invasive current monitoring is required. Typical applications include energy management systems, HVAC equipment monitoring, motor load sensing, and building automation control panels. The 0 to 2 volt output is compatible with a wide range of analog input modules and building automation controllers. Installers deploy these sensors around existing conductors without interrupting live circuits, making them practical for retrofit and new construction projects alike.
Designed as an OEM-style current sensor for use with building automation systems, energy monitoring panels, and analog input controllers that accept a 0 to 2 volt DC signal from an external current transducer.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit or verify safe conditions before opening the split core and clamping it around the conductor. Ensure the conductor passes through the center of the core and the halves are fully latched before routing the signal wire to the analog input. Signal wiring should be kept separate from power conductors to avoid induced noise on the output signal.
