The HONEYWELL c6097a1228/u is a diaphragm-actuated safety-limit pressure switch designed for positive-pressure and differential-pressure systems handling natural gas, liquid propane (LP) gas, or air. It features a manual reset lockout with an external reset button and a switching action that breaks the control circuit on pressure fall. The operating range spans 0.4 to 5 inches water column (in. wc), with a maximum differential pressure of 0.6 in. wc at minimum setpoint and 0.25 in. wc at maximum setpoint. An IP54-rated enclosure protects internal components. Licensed HVAC technicians and gas systems professionals are the primary installers of this switch.
This pressure switch is used as a safety device in residential and commercial combustion and air-handling systems where gas or air pressure must be continuously monitored. It mounts via flange directly to compatible valve train assemblies. The switch can be wired to trigger an alarm condition. A removable transparent cover protects the scaleplate and adjusting knob during field service. The integral vent limiter and surge orifice are standard on this model. Pipe tappings support vent or low-pressure connections via 1/8 in. NPT internal thread.
Designed for flange-mount installation in positive-pressure or differential-pressure systems using natural gas, LP gas, or air. Compatible with Honeywell Integrated Valve Train assemblies via direct flange mounting.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified gas systems professional in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off all gas supply and de-energize the system before servicing or replacing the switch. Verify correct switching action and reset behavior after installation before returning the system to service. Do not bypass the manual reset function under any circumstances.
