The HOMEWERKS WORLDWIDE LLC 511 1940 is a 1/2 inch internal pipe wrench designed for removing broken or frozen pipe nipples from fittings and couplings. Constructed from steel, this tool engages the inside bore of a damaged nipple, giving plumbers and pipefitters the grip needed to back out stubborn or sheared pipe sections without damaging the surrounding fitting. It is a specialty extraction tool suited for residential and light commercial plumbing service work where conventional wrenching on the outside of the nipple is not possible.
This internal pipe wrench is used when a nipple has broken flush or below the face of a fitting, leaving no external surface to grip. It fits 1/2 inch nominal pipe size nipples and is appropriate for steel, iron, and similar ferrous pipe. Plumbers and maintenance technicians reach for this tool during service calls, remodel work, and emergency repairs where broken or corroded nipples block progress on a piping system.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch nominal pipe size nipples, including broken or frozen steel and iron nipples threaded into standard pipe fittings and couplings.
This tool is typically used by licensed plumbers or experienced pipefitters during pipe repair or replacement work. Before attempting nipple extraction, shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely. Insert the internal wrench into the bore of the broken nipple and apply steady rotational force; avoid impact loading that could crack a surrounding fitting. Work performed on gas or potable water piping should comply with applicable local codes and standards including the IPC and IFGC where relevant.
