The HOLYOKE FITTINGS 50-62 is a 90 degree brass elbow fitting designed to connect a 3/8 inch SAE flare tube to a 1/8 inch female pipe thread port. Brass construction provides reliable corrosion resistance and pressure integrity in refrigerant, fuel gas, and fluid system piping. The 90 degree angle allows direction changes in tight spaces where straight fittings will not route cleanly. This fitting is installed by licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers working on small-bore tubing systems where a flare-to-pipe transition is required.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving refrigerant line sets, fuel gas distribution, and hydraulic or pneumatic tubing systems that use SAE flare connections on the tube side and a female NPT or pipe thread port on the equipment or manifold side. It is sold in quantities of 25 per bag, box, carton, or case, making it practical for service vans and shop stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for small-bore tubing systems requiring a 3/8 inch SAE flare to 1/8 inch female pipe thread transition at a 90 degree angle.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, refrigeration mechanic, or licensed plumber. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing any existing fitting. The flare end requires a properly formed SAE flare on the tubing — inspect the flare seat for cracks or deformation before assembly. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the female pipe thread side per the system manufacturer and applicable code requirements; do not use thread sealant on the flare connection itself.
