The HOLYOKE FITTINGS 1202P-8-6 is a forged brass 90-degree street elbow designed to connect a 1/2-inch female pipe thread to a 3/8-inch male pipe thread in a single compact fitting. This reducer elbow changes direction while stepping down between two pipe sizes, eliminating the need for an additional coupling in tight plumbing or pneumatic layouts. Rated to 1000 psi and capable of handling temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, it is well suited for demanding industrial and mechanical applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this fitting in air, water, and cooling line systems where a directional change and size reduction are needed at one connection point.
This fitting is appropriate for residential, commercial, and industrial installations including compressed air lines, water distribution lines, and cooling circuits. Its forged brass construction makes it a reliable choice in mobile equipment, factory process automation, heavy-duty truck systems, and construction plumbing. It is compatible with copper tubing, brass tubing, and iron pipe. Thread geometry conforms to dryseal standards, which reduces the risk of leakage without relying solely on thread sealant.
Compatible with copper tubing, brass tubing, and iron pipe. Suitable for use in air lines, water lines, and cooling lines across industrial, construction, mobile, and process automation applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the service type. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any pipe fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads in accordance with the system fluid and code requirements. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
