The HOLO-KROME 76560 is a metric hex socket cap screw designed for high-strength fastening applications in mechanical assemblies, tooling, and industrial equipment. Manufactured from alloy steel to material grade 12.9, it delivers exceptional tensile and proof load strength compared to lower-grade fasteners. The black oxide coating provides a degree of corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection, making it suited for precision machinery and close-tolerance work. The M24 x 3.00 thread with an 80 mm length under head accommodates deep-grip, fully threaded joints. Mechanical contractors, millwrights, and maintenance technicians are the typical installers of this fastener class.
This screw is used in heavy-duty mechanical and industrial applications where a high-clamp-load, recessed-drive fastener is required. The M24 x 3.00 metric thread size is common in machine frames, hydraulic manifold mounting, structural steel fabrication, and heavy equipment assembly. The fully threaded shank allows engagement along the entire fastener length, maximizing grip in through-bolt and deep-tapped-hole configurations. Its hex socket drive requires a standard hex key or Allen-type socket, which is widely available in both hand-tool and impact-rated configurations for production assembly work.
Designed as a standard DIN 912 and ISO 4762 metric hex socket cap screw. Compatible with any M24 x 3.00 metric tapped hole conforming to ANSI B1.13M thread standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright, mechanical technician, or maintenance professional familiar with metric fastener torque specifications for grade 12.9 hardware. Always verify that the mating threaded hole or nut is rated to the same or higher strength grade before applying full clamp load. Use a calibrated torque wrench to achieve the specified torque value per the equipment manufacturer or applicable industry standard. Inspect threads for damage or contamination before installation, and never use damaged fasteners.
