The HOLO-KROME 60130 is a flat socket cap screw designed for applications where a flush or countersunk fastener profile is required. It features an 82-degree flat head driven by a 5/16-inch hex socket and is manufactured from alloy steel with a black oxide finish for moderate corrosion resistance. The 1/2-13 UNC thread at 1-1/2 inches overall length is fully threaded and carries a Thread Fit Class 3A designation for consistent, close-tolerance engagement. Hardness is rated at 39-44 HRC, making it well-suited for high-strength fastening in demanding mechanical assemblies. Licensed tradespeople and industrial maintenance technicians working with structural and mechanical equipment are the primary installers.
This screw is used in mechanical, structural, and industrial assembly applications where a countersunk head must sit flush with or below a surface. The 82-degree flat head geometry conforms to ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards, making it appropriate for precision-fit work in fabricated steel structures, machine frames, fixtures, and similar trade or industrial environments. It is sold in multiples of 50 units minimum order quantity, with individual package quantity of 1.
Designed as a standard inch-series flat socket cap screw per ASME B18.3 for use in countersunk through-holes and tapped holes requiring a 1/2-13 UNC thread in alloy steel applications.
Installation is performed by machinists, millwrights, or maintenance technicians using a properly sized 5/16-inch hex key or socket driver. Ensure the mating countersink is machined to an 82-degree included angle to match the head geometry. De-energize and lock out any equipment before fastener replacement or removal per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not substitute a different drive size or head angle, as doing so will result in poor seating and reduced clamp load.
