The HOLO-KROME 60126 is a flat socket cap screw designed for flush or countersunk fastening applications in mechanical assemblies, tooling, and structural connections. It features an 82-degree flat head with a 5/16-inch hex socket drive, accepting a standard hex key for installation. The screw is manufactured from alloy steel with a black oxide finish that provides moderate corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection in precision work environments. Hardness is rated at 39-44 HRC, making it suitable for high-load clamping applications. Thread size is 1/2-13 UNC, and the fastener is fully threaded along its 1-inch overall length. It meets ASME B18.3 and ASTM F835 standards.
This flat socket cap screw is used in machine tool construction, fixture building, industrial equipment assembly, and maintenance repair operations where a flush fastener surface is required. The 82-degree flat head seats into a standard countersunk hole, keeping the fastener profile at or below the workpiece surface. It is commonly installed by machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working with steel plate, tooling blocks, and precision fixtures. The 1/2-13 UNC thread fits standard tapped holes in inch-dimensioned components across a wide range of industrial and manufacturing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-service fastener for inch-dimensioned assemblies using 1/2-13 UNC tapped holes with 82-degree countersunk head clearance.
Install using a 5/16-inch hex key or Allen-drive tool. Countersink the mating hole to 82 degrees at the appropriate diameter for a 1/2-inch flat head screw before installation. De-energize and lock out all equipment before servicing any fastened assembly. Do not substitute a different drive size, as an improperly fitting key can strip the socket under torque.
