The HOLO-KROME 60114 is a flat socket cap screw designed for applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastener profile. It features a 7/32-inch hex socket drive and an 82-degree flat head that seats flush with or below the mating surface when installed in the appropriate countersink. The fastener is manufactured from alloy steel with a black oxide finish, providing moderate corrosion resistance and a consistent dark appearance. Thread size is 3/8-16 UNC with a 3A thread fit class and partial threading along the shank. Hardness is rated at 39-44 HRC. Licensed trades and maintenance professionals use this screw in structural assemblies, machinery, and fixtures where protruding fastener heads are not acceptable.
This screw is suited for industrial, commercial, and mechanical assembly applications where a flush-mount fastener is required. The 3/8-16 UNC thread and 3-inch overall length make it applicable to moderate-load structural connections, equipment frames, guards, and brackets. The black oxide finish is common in tool and die, hydraulic manifold, and general machine shop environments. Partial threading provides a bearing shoulder along the unthreaded shank for precision alignment in close-tolerance bores.
Designed as an OEM-style and general-purpose replacement flat socket cap screw for assemblies requiring a 3/8-16 UNC thread, 3-inch overall length, and an 82-degree countersunk hex socket head per ASME B18.3.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or maintenance technician using a correctly sized 7/32-inch hex key or socket driver. The mating component must be drilled and countersunk to the appropriate 82-degree angle to achieve full head seating. Torque the fastener according to the assembly engineering specification for the joint material and thread class. De-energize, depressurize, or lock out any equipment before removing or replacing fasteners in load-bearing or pressurized assemblies.
