The HOLDRITE HFPA3 is a HydroFlame Pro Series aerator adapter designed for use with 3-inch fire stop sleeves in cast-in-place firestop applications. This UL listed component provides a combined water seal and fire, smoke, and gas barrier, addressing both unwanted water intrusion and the spread of combustion byproducts through floor or wall penetrations. The patented telescoping design eliminates the need to cut sleeves on the jobsite, and integrated locator whiskers allow technicians to locate buried sleeves after a concrete pour without guesswork. The threaded cap design allows non-destructive removal and meets OSHA hole cover requirements. Compatible with both metal and plastic pipe installations.
The HFPA3 is used in commercial and residential construction wherever cast-in-place firestop sleeves are required at floor or wall penetrations. It is suited for new construction projects where concrete pours cover sleeve assemblies, giving plumbing and fire protection contractors a reliable method to maintain sleeve access and code compliance. The hollow sleeve configuration accommodates the aerator adapter within the 3-inch fire stop sleeve, supporting common pipe-through-floor or pipe-through-wall installations across multi-story structures.
Designed for use with HOLDRITE HydroFlame Pro Series fire stop sleeve systems for 3-inch metal or plastic pipe penetrations using a 4-inch hollow sleeve assembly.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or fire protection contractors in accordance with applicable building and fire codes. Before servicing or replacing any firestop assembly, confirm that the surrounding area is safe and that no active utilities are pressurized at the penetration point. Follow the UL listing requirements and project specifications when setting sleeves in concrete formwork. Consult local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for inspection and approval requirements prior to concealing any firestop assembly.
