It reinforces no-hub cast iron installations, adhering to guidelines set by U.S. cast iron soil pipe manufacturers and the 2006 CISPI Installation Handbook. This restraint retains the fittings between adjoining pipes and requires four stainless steel bands to be tightened to a minimum of 60 inch-pounds.
