The HISENSE asu-09u3thb25u is a 9,000 BTU/h wall-mounted indoor air handler designed for multi-zone ductless mini-split heat pump systems. Operating on 208/230 volts and charged with R-454B refrigerant, this unit delivers both cooling and heating from a single head. It is built for residential and light commercial applications where zoned climate control is required without ductwork. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a matched multi-zone system. The cabinet measures 33-7/16 inches wide, 11-9/16 inches tall, and 8-1/16 inches deep, and weighs 18.7 pounds, making it practical for single-technician wall mounting.
This indoor wall unit is intended for multi-zone ductless mini-split installations in residential bedrooms, living areas, offices, and similar spaces where individual room temperature control is needed. It pairs with a compatible HISENSE multi-zone outdoor condensing unit. The unit is not designed for single-zone flex applications. Wi-Fi connectivity allows integration with the Life Smart device app for remote access, supplementing the included standard infrared remote controller. An optional wired controller is also supported for installations requiring wall-mounted control.
Designed for use as the indoor wall-mounted head in HISENSE Hi-Ultra multi-zone ductless mini-split heat pump systems rated for 208/230V operation with R-454B refrigerant. System Flex is not supported; verify outdoor unit compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification, as this unit contains R-454B refrigerant. Shut off all power to the system at the disconnect before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Line set connections use a 1/4-inch liquid line fitting and a 3/8-inch suction fitting; ensure proper torque-free flare connections per the equipment installation manual. Follow all applicable local mechanical and electrical codes during mounting, line set routing, and low-voltage wiring.
