The HISENSE as-36u3rhb25e is a ductless mini-split indoor unit (IDU) designed for single-zone cooling and heating applications. Part of the Hi-Edge product line, this wall-mounted air handler operates on 208-230 volts and uses R-32 refrigerant, a lower-GWP alternative to R-410A. The unit pairs with a compatible outdoor condensing unit to form a complete ductless split system. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians familiar with ductless split system commissioning and R-32 refrigerant handling procedures.
This indoor unit is suited for residential and light commercial single-zone ductless installations where a traditional ducted system is not practical or desired. Typical applications include room additions, converted spaces, server rooms, and zone-specific climate control. The Hi-Edge series is engineered for wall-mount installation and connects to its matched outdoor unit via refrigerant line sets and low-voltage control wiring. Confirm the matched outdoor unit model and line set sizing requirements before ordering.
Designed as an OEM indoor unit for use in a HISENSE Hi-Edge single-zone ductless mini-split system. Consult HISENSE Hi-Edge system documentation to confirm the correct matched outdoor unit and line set specifications for this IDU.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician, as R-32 is a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant requiring adherence to manufacturer safety guidelines and applicable local codes. Power down and lock out the circuit before any wiring work. Follow HISENSE installation documentation for line set routing, flaring, evacuation, and refrigerant charge procedures. Wall penetration, mounting bracket installation, and condensate drainage must be completed before connecting refrigerant lines.
