The HISENSE ao-24u3r25e is a single-zone ductless outdoor condensing unit from the Hi-Edge series, designed for split-system mini-split installations in residential and light commercial applications. It operates on R32 refrigerant and is rated for 208-230V single-phase power. The unit serves as the outdoor section of a ductless mini-split system, housing the compressor and condenser coil, and is matched with a compatible indoor air handler to deliver heating and cooling without ductwork. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning of this equipment.
This outdoor unit is suited for single-zone applications where ductless heating and cooling is required. Typical installations include additions, converted spaces, server rooms, and structures without existing duct systems. The Hi-Edge series targets residential and small commercial environments where efficiency and compact footprint matter. R32 refrigerant provides a lower global warming potential compared to R410A, aligning with current industry direction on refrigerant transition. The 208-230V rating makes it compatible with standard residential and light commercial electrical services.
Designed as an OEM outdoor condensing unit for use in a matched single-zone R32 ductless mini-split system. Pair with a compatible HISENSE Hi-Edge series indoor air handler rated for the same capacity and refrigerant type.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician familiar with R32 refrigerant handling and local mechanical and electrical codes. Disconnect and lock out all power before servicing the unit. The outdoor unit requires a dedicated circuit sized to the nameplate ampacity, and all wiring must comply with NEC requirements. R32 is mildly flammable and classified as A2L, so follow manufacturer guidelines and applicable codes regarding minimum installation clearances and leak detection requirements.
