The HISENSE AO-09U3T25U is a 9000 BTU/h outdoor heat pump condenser unit operating on 230 volts and charged with R-454B refrigerant. Part of the Hi Ultra product line, this outdoor section pairs with a compatible indoor air handler to deliver both cooling and heating in a split-system configuration. R-454B is a low-GWP refrigerant increasingly specified for new residential and light-commercial equipment, making this unit well-suited for installations targeting current environmental standards. Licensed HVAC technicians install and service this type of equipment as part of a matched split system.
This unit is designed for residential or light-commercial split-system applications where a 9000 BTU/h capacity is appropriate. The outdoor condenser houses the compressor, condenser coil, and fan assembly, rejecting heat in cooling mode and absorbing heat in heating mode. It is intended for exterior mounting, typically on a pad or wall bracket, and connects to the indoor air handler via refrigerant lineset and low-voltage control wiring.
Designed as an OEM outdoor condenser for Hi Ultra series split-system heat pump configurations requiring a 9000 BTU/h capacity, 230-volt, R-454B-compatible outdoor unit. Confirm indoor unit compatibility with HISENSE documentation before installation.
Installation must be performed by an EPA Section 608-certified HVAC technician due to the sealed refrigerant system and R-454B handling requirements. Shut off all power at the disconnect and indoor air handler breaker before making electrical or refrigerant connections. Follow NEC guidelines for disconnect sizing and wiring methods, and adhere to local mechanical codes for pad height, clearance, and lineset routing. Do not operate the unit until the full system has been leak-checked, evacuated, and verified per the manufacturer startup procedure.
