The HILMOR HLP078 is a 10-pack of foam cleaning pigs designed for purging and cleaning 7/8-inch refrigerant linesets. Each foam cylinder is specially formulated to travel through the lineset when driven by compressed nitrogen at up to 70 psi, removing contaminants, moisture, and debris from the line interior. The flexible foam construction allows each pig to navigate past common lineset deformations, including kinks and twists, without getting lodged. HVAC technicians use these pigs during new system commissioning or when cleaning existing linesets before brazing new connections.
These foam pigs are suitable for both ducted and ductless HVAC applications where 7/8-inch linesets are used. They are a standard maintenance and commissioning tool for residential and light commercial mini-split and split-system installations. The pigs are driven through the line using a compressed nitrogen source, making them compatible with standard nitrogen purging setups already common on HVAC service rigs.
Designed for use with 7/8-inch refrigerant linesets in both ducted and ductless HVAC systems. Driven by a compressed nitrogen source at up to 70 psi.
Licensed HVAC technicians should power down and recover any refrigerant from the system before introducing foam pigs into the lineset. Use a regulated compressed nitrogen source and never exceed the rated 70 psi drive pressure. Ensure the discharge end of the lineset is directed to a safe, open area before driving the pig through. Follow all applicable mechanical and refrigerant handling codes during lineset service.
