The HILLMAN FASTENERS 5015 is a short drive Wallgrip hollow wall expansion anchor designed to create secure fastening points in hollow wall assemblies such as drywall and gypsum board. The anchor measures 1/8 inch in diameter and uses a short drive design that expands behind the wall surface when a screw is driven in, distributing load against the back face of the panel. Installers receive 10 anchors per package, making this suitable for multi-point mounting tasks on a single job. This hardware is used by electricians, HVAC techs, plumbers, and general contractors whenever a fixture must be secured to a hollow wall without access to a stud.
This anchor is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where wall cavity depth is limited and a low-profile drive installation is required. Typical install scenarios include securing junction box brackets, pipe hangers, thermostat sub-bases, and similar lightweight fixtures to drywall partitions. The short drive format reduces the amount of anchor body that projects from the wall surface prior to screw insertion, keeping the installation flush and clean.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement anchor for 1/8 inch short drive hollow wall expansion anchor applications in drywall and gypsum panel assemblies.
Installation is performed by marking the anchor location, drilling or driving the anchor flush into the wall surface, then inserting and tightening the mating screw to expand the sleeve against the back of the panel. Follow applicable building codes and fastener load ratings when securing mechanical or electrical components to hollow walls. Do not overtighten the drive screw, as excess torque can collapse the wall material or strip the anchor. Licensed trades should verify wall substrate type before selecting anchor size and style.
