The green ceramic coating provides corrosion resistance rated at 1,500 hours of salt spray testing, making it well suited for pressure-treated lumber and exposed deck structures. The self-drilling cut point eliminates the need for pre-drilling in most softwood decking, and the coarse serrated thread pattern pulls material tight while resisting back-out. The star drive recess transfers torque cleanly and reduces cam-out during installation. This fastener carries a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. Contractors, carpenters, and deck builders are the primary installers.
