The HILLMAN FASTENERS 377617 is a one-piece Borefast anchor screw with a black-coated screw head, designed for fastening into drywall, masonry, and mixed-substrate assemblies. At 1.5 inches in length, it combines the anchor and fastener into a single component, eliminating the need for a separate anchor insert in drywall applications. The screw self-drills through drywall and can penetrate both 20-gauge wood and metal studs without pre-drilling. For concrete, brick, block, and plaster, a 3/16-inch pre-drilled hole is required. This fastener is suited for light commercial and residential installation tasks handled by electricians, HVAC techs, plumbers, and general contractors who need reliable wall anchoring without extra hardware.
The 377617 is used in residential and light commercial settings wherever a secure wall or masonry anchor point is needed. Common applications include mounting brackets, conduit supports, pipe hangers, junction boxes, and other trade hardware to drywall partitions or masonry walls. The self-drilling capability through drywall and 20-gauge studs speeds up installation in framed wall assemblies. When installing into concrete, brick, block, or plaster, a 3/16-inch pilot hole must be pre-drilled before driving the anchor screw. Each package contains 6 screws.

In drywall and 20-gauge stud applications, drive the anchor screw directly without pre-drilling. For concrete, brick, block, or plaster, pre-drill a 3/16-inch hole before driving the screw. Use an appropriate screw gun or drill driver set to a controlled torque to avoid overdriving and stripping the anchor. Verify substrate type and load requirements before installation to ensure the correct holding-strength specification is met.
