The HILLMAN FASTENERS 377616 is a zinc Borefast anchor and screw combined into a single one-piece fastener designed for quick, reliable attachment into drywall and masonry substrates. At 1.5 inches in length, this self-drilling anchor eliminates the need for a separate plastic anchor insert when working with drywall, 20-gauge wood studs, or 20-gauge metal studs. For masonry applications including concrete, brick, block, and plaster, a 3/16-inch pilot hole is required before installation. Each package contains 6 anchors. The zinc construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for typical interior fastening tasks handled by contractors, electricians, plumbers, and general tradespeople running fixtures or equipment into wall assemblies.
This anchor screw is suited for light-duty to medium-duty fastening applications in residential and light commercial construction. It is commonly used when securing brackets, junction boxes, pipe straps, conduit supports, and similar hardware to drywall partitions or masonry walls. The self-drilling tip allows direct installation into drywall and metal or wood stud framing without pre-drilling, reducing installation steps on the job. When used in masonry, a standard 3/16-inch masonry bit and hammer drill are needed to prepare the hole before the anchor is driven.
