The HILLMAN FASTENERS 375297 is a hex washer head tapper-style concrete screw anchor supplied in a 100-piece pack with a drill bit included. Sized at 1/4 inch diameter by 3-1/4 inches in length, each fastener features a Blue Perma-Seal coating for corrosion resistance. The 1-3/4 inch embedment depth delivers substantial holding values: ultimate tension strength of 2,330 lb in 4,000 psi concrete and ultimate shear strength of 2,390 lb in 4,000 psi concrete. These anchors are installed by licensed contractors, general tradespeople, and experienced DIYers working with concrete, block, or masonry substrates.
This anchor is suited for light-duty to medium-duty fastening applications in residential and commercial construction. Common uses include securing electrical conduit straps, plumbing hangers, HVAC equipment bases, brackets, and structural fixtures directly into poured concrete or concrete masonry units. The included bit simplifies on-site installation by eliminating a separate bit sourcing step. The tapper thread form cuts its own mating thread in the base material, making it a single-step anchor solution without requiring a separate sleeve or insert.
Designed as a direct-install tapper concrete screw anchor for use in poured concrete, concrete block, and concrete masonry unit (CMU) substrates requiring a 1/4 inch diameter fastener.
Installation is performed by drilling a correctly sized pilot hole to the required depth using a hammer drill and carbide-tipped bit before driving the anchor. Power down or de-energize any nearby systems before drilling into walls or slabs where embedded conduit or piping may be present. Drive the screw anchor using an impact driver or drill to the rated embedment depth — do not overdrive, as stripping the threads in the base material will reduce holding strength. Follow applicable building codes and anchor manufacturer load tables when using these fasteners in structural or safety-critical applications.
