The HILLMAN 41560 is a flat tapper concrete screw designed to anchor objects directly into concrete, brick, and block without anchors or inserts. The specially hardened high-low thread cuts its own path into masonry as it is driven, creating a secure mechanical hold. Each screw measures 1/4 inch in diameter by 1-3/4 inches in length. Installation follows a simple two-step process: drill a pilot hole to the correct diameter, then drive the screw. The 41560 can be removed and re-inserted into the same hole, which simplifies adjustments during installation. This pack contains 18 screws and is sold as a unit.
The HILLMAN 41560 is suited for light to medium-duty fastening applications in residential and light commercial settings. Typical uses include window installations, interior handrails, metal door frames, storm shutters, interior lighting fixtures, thresholds, and screened enclosures. Because the screw threads directly into masonry, no separate anchor or sleeve is required, reducing material cost and installation time. Contractors, carpenters, and general tradespeople commonly use this fastener where a clean, low-profile flat head is required against a masonry surface.
Designed for direct fastening into concrete, brick, and block masonry substrates in residential and light commercial construction applications.
Installation requires drilling a correctly sized pilot hole into the masonry before driving the screw. Use a carbide-tipped masonry bit matched to the screw diameter and ensure hole depth exceeds screw length to allow for dust clearance. Always wear eye protection when drilling into masonry. Follow applicable local building codes and manufacturer guidelines for fastener spacing and load requirements.
