The HILLMAN 375656 is a strike hammer drive anchor designed for fastening into concrete substrates. The anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled pilot hole, and a single hammer strike drives the nail component inward, expanding the anchor body and locking it firmly in place. Each anchor is removable using a standard claw hammer, making it suitable for applications where future disassembly may be required. This 50-count box contains anchors measuring 5/16 inches in diameter by 2-3/4 inches in length. Concrete fastening work of this type is typically performed by general contractors, masons, and maintenance trades.
These strike anchors are intended exclusively for use in concrete. Typical applications include securing furring strips, conduit straps, junction boxes, and light-duty fixtures to concrete walls, floors, or ceilings. The removable design makes them a practical choice in commercial and residential settings where anchors may need to be backed out after initial installation. The 5/16 inch by 2-3/4 inch sizing suits a range of light-to-medium-duty fastening tasks in poured concrete or concrete block.
Designed for use in concrete applications only. Not rated for use in brick, mortar, drywall, wood, or other base materials.
Installation is performed by drilling a pilot hole sized to the anchor diameter in the concrete substrate before insertion. Always wear appropriate eye protection when driving anchors with a hammer. Verify base material is solid concrete before installation — these anchors are not suitable for hollow-core or crumbling substrates. To remove, use the claw end of a standard hammer to back the anchor out of the pilot hole.
