The HILLMAN 122536 is a zinc plated trim nail designed for securing hardwood molding and finish trim work. At 1-1/4 inches in length and 13 gauge in diameter, these nails provide the holding strength and slim profile needed for trim carpentry without splitting delicate molding stock. Each 1-ounce plastic box contains approximately 29 nails. The zinc plating provides basic corrosion resistance suitable for interior finish applications. These are a standard consumable stocked and used by trim carpenters, finish carpenters, and general contractors on residential and light commercial projects.
These trim nails are suited for interior hardwood molding installation, including base molding, casing, chair rail, and similar finish trim applications. The 13-gauge wire diameter is appropriate for hand-nailing or use with a nail set in situations where a pneumatic finish nailer is not available or practical. The compact 1-ounce pack size is useful for small repair jobs or touch-up work where a full box of nails is not required.
Designed for use with hardwood molding and finish trim in standard interior residential and light commercial construction applications.
Trim nails of this type are installed by finish carpenters using a hammer and nail set, or by hand where a pneumatic nailer is not appropriate. Drive nails at the manufacturer-recommended angle for the molding profile being installed. Set nail heads slightly below the surface and fill with wood filler prior to painting or staining. Follow applicable local building codes for finish carpentry work.
