The HES 9500-BSP fire-rated surface mounted electric strike is made for rim exit devices that have a throw latchbolt up to three-quarters of an inch. This electric strike maintains a three-hour fire rating and meets grade-1 standards for strength. It has field selectable options for fail-safe and fail-secure operation, functioning on either twelve or twenty-four volts DC. The installation process does not require any frame cutting.
