The HERTEL SZ20014T is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a tree-with-pointed-end head geometry, designed for precision material removal in tight profiles and contoured surfaces. Manufactured to industry specification SG-3, this bur features a single-cut tooth style with a 3/8-inch cutting diameter and a 3/4-inch length of cut. The 1/4-inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and cast materials common in industrial and fabrication environments.
This bur is suited for deburring, contouring, and finishing operations in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking applications. The tree-with-pointed-end shape makes it particularly effective for reaching recessed areas, cleaning weld joints, and blending radii in die cavities or machined pockets. It is compatible with standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary power tools running at appropriate RPM ranges for carbide burs in its size class.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools; conforms to industry specification SG-3 for carbide bur tooling.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a die grinder with a properly sized collet. Ensure the grinder is powered off and depressurized before inserting or removing the bur. Secure the shank fully into the collet to the recommended insertion depth to prevent runout or slippage during operation. Always verify the grinder RPM rating is appropriate for the bur diameter before use.
