The HERTEL R128016C is a standard pipe tap designed for cutting National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) threads in metal workpieces. It features 7 flutes and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating over a High Speed Steel body. The TiCN finish improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in production tapping applications. With a thread size of 2 - 11-1/2 and a thread length of 1.75 inches, this tap produces a tapered pipe thread that creates a pressure-tight seal without requiring additional sealant.
